Niittykahvila Cafe The Silent People History Reijo KelaIn the midst of the backwoods of Suomussalmi, in the heart of the land of the Silent People, in the very lap of Mother Nature herself, you will find the Niittykahvila Café. Niittykahvila Café's easy going atmosphere, the irresistible smell of fresh campfire coffee and pancakes and the play of the sun on your skin come together to invite you into their magical company. Time and place lose their importance. A sense of here and now pervades the air. The fragrance of wood smoke. The caress of hay around your feet.
Why not stay overnight in the hay barn! The Café is open whenever you see the smoke rising, daily from 9.00 to 21.00, weather permitting. We open a week before Midsummer and our season ends in the middle of August. Open other times by prior arrangement!
